DET IT is looking for a Software Engineer (Senior Member of the Technical Staff) to join our growing Information Technology team. This is a key role in our IT Finance engineering team. This is a hybrid role where one would spend time configuring, developing and testing Workday functionalities and integrations. In addition to Workday expertise, the individual should have knowledge of manually testing and expertise to leverage automation tools like Kainos. You must have a solid background in Workday and other Finance applications with hands-on experience on Workday and a good understanding of industry best practices. You will be responsible for configuration, development and testing through all phases of the implementation lifecycle.

Responsibilities

: Deliver Workday technical solutions and enhancements with a focus on scalability, performance, and alignment to business requirements. Partner with internal Workday support teams, business users, and 3rd party integrators to understand requirements and translate them into effective Workday technical designs. Design and develop advanced Reports, Dashboards, Integrations, and Automations using Workday toolsets (Core HCM/Finance, Accounting Center, Prism, Studio, Workday Extend, etc.). Implement and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Kainos) to ensure high-quality releases. Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and solution architecture discussions to drive best practices. Diagnose, track, and resolve technical issues to ensure product quality and stability. Define and execute test strategies, test plans, and defect management processes for Workday solutions. Stay current with Workday Community updates, release features, and best practices to drive innovation. Required Skills: Workday Integration Essentials Certification / PRO in Technical Workday domains . 8+ years of hands-on Workday technical implementation and development experience for Finance systems .
