As a Thumbnail Designer at Consulting, you'll play a key role in our YouTube strategy, creating thumbnails that capture attention while maintaining our brand's visual standard.

You'll design thumbnails for new uploads and rework existing ones to improve performance. The role requires strong creative judgment, an understanding of what drives clicks, and the ability to balance performance with brand integrity.

You'll work closely with our creative team to ensure every thumbnail aligns with the video's positioning, our broader content strategy, and channel growth goals.

What You'll Do

Attend daily team huddles with the design department (Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM UK time).

Design multiple thumbnail options for every new video.

Develop new thumbnail concepts on the fly to support emerging content needs or special projects.

Optimize each thumbnail for maximum performance, ensuring every design is visually compelling and built to drive clicks and retention.

Manage thumbnail creation from start to finish, including idea generation, drafting, incorporating feedback, and on-time delivery for every video launch.

Continuously review and improve existing thumbnails across our channels. Using performance data and feedback, you'll iterate on older thumbnails to lift their engagement over time, making sure no video is held back by a weak thumbnail.

Mastery of Design Fundamentals

You have a deep understanding of composition, color, typography, and visual hierarchy. Design is second nature to you. Every thumbnail you produce is stunning to look at and strategically built to convert viewers into clicks.

Expertise with Design Software

You are highly proficient in industry-standard design tools. Producing polished, professional graphics under tight deadlines is something you handle with ease. The tools of the trade are extensions of your creativity, allowing you to bring any concept to life at a world-class level.

Creative Collaboration

You excel at brainstorming and ideation, and you thrive working with a team. You can take a concept and run with it, but you're also open to feedback and quick to iterate. You bring original ideas to the table and refine them with the team into the strongest possible outcome.

Software Skills
